Clinical Indications for EXICLAV 625:
- Effective against both gram(+)ve and gram(-)ve bacteria.
- Well tolerated for acute exacerbations of COPD.
- It is usually the drug of choice within the class because it is a better-absorbed, following oral administration, than other b-lactam antibiotics
- Is an irreversible inhibitor of the enzyme beta lactamase and protects amoxycillin against degradation by the enzyme.
- Extends the spectrum of amoxycillin
